Bougainvillea, also known as Paper flower are woody vines, originally from tropical South America. They flower during Summer, and sometimes continue flowering for many months after. The actual flowers are the tiny cream coloured ones in the centre. The brilliantly coloured petal-like bracts may be crimson, white, carmine red, rose-violet, pale pink or white with pink edges.
