Spring Flowers - Hippeastrum by Lynda

These brightly coloured flowers grow from bulbs and flower in October and November (in Sydney). I love seeing them pop up because it means that Summer is on the way. These are big flowers, too, about 20 cm across.

Hippeastrums grow from bulbs and are big funnel shaped flowers about 20cm across. In Sydney they usually appear about October.
